Description:

Neighbors Cafe at Assagao, Goa, is a Landscape Design Project that brings out the cafe within the landscape. The cafe is built around an existing Coconut Grove, so it follows the landscape's pattern.
Within the limited space, the landscape highlights tropical species of flora, and old, traditional home elements. The cafe sports a seasonal variety of plants, which ensures an aesthetic setting. The flooring of the landscape has been done in 2 ways- Cobblestone Paving, and Natural Stone Paving in a random pattern. Both these pavings are permeable surfaces, which helps control rainwater runoff, and maintains the groundwater level of the landscape.
The landscape design also highlights colours resonating the Portuguese era, which gives it a traditional feel in a modern and contemporary setting.
