Landscape development of Tulip Inn at Calangute, Goa

Challenges:

Tulip Inn is proposed to be a leisure resort-a place to go to relax- located at Calangute, Goa. The site is approximately 7300 sq.m. and is perched on a gradual slope facing the rice fields.

The Landscape concept aims to stimulate the three senses of sight, sound & smell by using various flowering & non-flowering plants, bringing in variety of colour, texture and aromatic fragrance to enhance the ambiance.

As water plays a major role in a resort, particularly in Goa, it has been used as a tying element all along the site in its various forms and moods. While the pedestrian walkway acts as the spine of the resort, water is constantly playing an ever-changing role in the landscape. Thus, water forms the continuous element in all its varied forms all through the site.
